The Blackhawk School District understands that students may occasionally need to miss school for reasons other than illness. While the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) sets limits on the number of absences permitted each school year, families may request approval for educational trips. Please complete the Educational Trip Form in advance of your request. Please note that more than one trip or any trip lasting over five consecutive school days per year may not be approved as excused.
