Blackhawk Intermediate School is a nurturing and dynamic learning community serving students in grades Kindergarten through 4. It is a critical time as we nurture our young learners and prepare our older students for middle school and beyond. We focus on building strong academic foundations, fostering independence, and developing the whole child—socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

It is both an honor and a privilege to introduce myself as the new principal of Blackhawk Intermediate School and Patterson Primary School. I am incredibly excited to be a part of this wonderful school community and humbled by the opportunity to lead. I look forward to continuing the great work that our dedicated staff and students have put in to create a thriving educational environment.
As a lifelong resident and graduate of the Blackhawk School District, I take immense pride in our community. My commitment is to provide our students with the best opportunities to succeed throughout their academic journey. In 2002 I began my career in education as a middle school science teacher at Blackhawk. For the last twelve years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in various administrative roles, including as the Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at HMS, and as the Assistant Principal at BIS and Patterson Primary School.
My family and I currently reside in the district. I have a kindergarten and a third grader at BIS, as well as a fifth grader at Highland. I deeply understand and appreciate the importance of fostering a strong connection between home and school, and I look forward to working closely with you to support your children’s success.
