At Blackhawk Elementary Schools, our Art program inspires creativity and self-expression while helping students build important skills that support their overall development. Beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through fourth grade, students explore a variety of art materials, techniques, and styles. Lessons introduce elements of art such as color, line, shape, and texture, while also connecting to cultural and historical themes.

Through hands-on projects, students develop fine motor skills, practice problem-solving, and learn to communicate ideas in new and creative ways. Our goal is to nurture a lifelong appreciation for the arts and encourage each child to discover their own unique artistic voice.
