Academic and Elective Opportunities

At Blackhawk Elementary Schools we build the foundation for lifelong learning by providing engaging and well-rounded experiences for students in Kindergarten through fourth grade. Our core curriculum—English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies—emphasizes essential skills, sparks curiosity, and supports each child’s growth.

Beyond the core, students enjoy Related Arts classes in Art, Music, Physical Education, and STEAM. These hands-on and creative experiences encourage exploration, collaboration, and the development of life skills that extend beyond the classroom. Related Arts classes run on a four-day rotation, with each session lasting 40 minutes.

Technology is also woven into the student experience. All students participate in computer class, where they build digital literacy, practice keyboarding, and strengthen age-appropriate technology skills.

Our dedicated educators work together to create a supportive, engaging environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and personally
