About HMS

Highland Middle School is a true middle school committed to academic growth, social-emotional development, and character education for students in grades 5 through 8. Built around an academic teaming structure, our school creates smaller learning communities that allow students and teachers to build strong relationships and work collaboratively toward shared success.

We take great pride in the accomplishments of our students and offer abundant opportunities both in and beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, Highland students and staff participate in a variety of service projects that benefit organizations such as the Salvation Army and the American Cancer Society—building empathy, civic responsibility, and community spirit. In addition, all students engage in the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, which fosters a culture of respect, responsibility, and integrity.

We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success. Highland encourages parents and guardians to stay actively involved, maintain open communication with teachers, and participate in school events. Families are always welcome to reach out with questions or concerns.

As a member of the Pennsylvania Middle School Association, Highland Middle School remains dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and academically challenging environment where students are supported as they grow—academically, socially, and emotionally.
